Centennial Community Legacy Project: Perry Lane Tot Lot
In honor of the 100th anniversary of Lions Clubs International, our club is participating in a Centennial Community Legacy Project. We are supporting the Town of Agawam in its efforts to modernize the Perry Lane 'Tot Lot' and improve the playground experience for all, including those with special needs. The scope of this project includes the replacement of certain playground structures and elements, installation of rubber surfacing, doubling the size of the current footprint, and creating 'parking lot to playground' sidewalk access. The Perry Lane 'Tot Lot' is a popular destination for young families that is sized specifically for children 2-5 years old, which makes it unique. In addition, children attending the Perry Lane Nursery School, the Agawam Early Childhood Center (ECC), and the campers of the Perry Lane Summer Camp also utilize this play space. The Agawam Lions Club 'Tot Lot' Committee was formed in June 2016. We will partner with local businesses, civic organizations, local schools, town departments, parents, and families to sponsor fundraisers through August 2017.To stay up to date on ongoing 'Tot Lot' fundraisers, please check our website often, 'Like' the Agawam Lions Club on Facebook, and look out for announcements in local newspapers.
